NAFLD / MAFLD ):Case Study

Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) / Metabolic Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD)

NAFLD / MAFLD is a condition in which excess fat builds up in the liver, and can lead to fibrosis and/or cirrhosis.

Patient Data: A 54-year-old male patient presented to his naturopathic doctor with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. His lab testing showed elevated liver enzymes, elevated blood glucose, elevated cholesterol, fibrosis, and severe steatosis. He had a concurrent diagnosis of colitis.

Protocol: He began treatment using the Bioclear™ Microbiome Cleansing Program (2+ years), including Biocidin® Liquid (15 drops 2 times/day); G.I. Detox™+ (2 capsules/day); and ProFlora™4R (1 capsule/day). A Keto diet was recommended, but the patient had a very difficult time staying compliant and resorted to his original diet. He continues to avoid soda and simple carbohydrates.

Outcome: Patient has experienced a significant improvement in liver health as measured by a reduction in liver enzymes; reduction in steatosis from severe to mild; and reduction in fibrosis from moderate to insignificant. Blood glucose and cholesterol also improved. His case will continue, and updates will be added as they become available.
